“Ultimul maidan” este primul proiect al companiei „Teatru peste hotare”, inspirat de jocurile pe care copiii le jucau în anii ’80 și începutul anilor ’90 în Europa de Est, jocuri ce par să fi dispărut. Piesa vorbește, de asemenea, despre devenire și despre noua lume înconjurătoare.
Intenția noastră este să creăm un proiect pentru comunitatea românească din Olanda și oamenii care sunt legați de ea și, în același timp, să aducem ceva din cultura veche și inocentă a Estului Europei, cu accentul pus pe universalitatea jocului uman și pe devenire.
Piesa se bazează pe patru monoloage originale scrise și puse în scenă de cele patru actrițe. Conținutul piesei are legătură atât cu copilăria și maturizarea în România, cât și cu viața în Olanda în prezent, reprezentând o încercare de a încapsula o lume care există doar în interiorul memoriei și de a urmări în continuare ce înseamnă să fi adult într-o lume uneori confuză. Este un proces complex de analiză și introspecție.

“The last playground” is the first theater project of the group “Theater over borders” – inspired by the childhood games kids used to play in the ’80’s and early ’90’s in East Europe, that seem to have disappeared. The play is also about the becoming and the new world around.
Our intention is to create a project for the Romanian community in The Netherlands and the people related to it and, at the same time, to bring something from the old, innocent East European culture to nowadays attention with the emphasis on the universality of human playfulness and becoming.
The play is based on four original monologues written and developed by the actresses themselves. The content has to do both with growing up in Romania and living in The Netherlands in the present, so it represents an attempt to encapsulate a world that exists only within the memory lane and to follow further the thread of being an adult into a sometimes confusing world. It is a complex process of analysis and candid remembrance and reflection.
